Dashtone

Privacy Policy

Effective: 2 October 2026. Applies to the Dashtone iOS app and its widgets, published by Stackframe Studios Private Limited ("we").

The short version

Everything you create in the app stays on your iPhone. We collect anonymous usage events to improve the app, never your name, email, photos or audio. We don't track you across apps or websites, and we don't sell anything about you.

What stays on your device

Anonymous usage analytics

We use PostHog (EU servers) to understand which features people use and where setup gets stuck, for example "onboarding completed" or "lyrics started from Listen mode". Each event carries only app details such as a sound or widget template id, plus a random id created on install that isn't linked to you. We don't create a profile of you, don't record your screen, and don't share this data for advertising.

Lyrics and Listen mode

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple. We receive confirmation that a purchase is active so we can unlock Pro features. We don't receive your name, email or payment details.

Advertising attribution

If you install the app from an ad, Apple's AdAttributionKit may tell the advertiser, in aggregate and without identifying you, how far installs from that ad got (for example "started a trial"). This uses Apple's privacy-preserving system. It doesn't identify you and requires no tracking permission.

Permissions

Children

The app isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we'll update this policy and the App Store privacy label before that version ships.
